Together with Amnesty International, the Vienna Institute for International Dialogue and Cooperation (VIDC) is organising an event on 9 October 2026 on the topic of "Self-Care, Community Care & Resistance in Activism".

Sustainable activism needs resilient structures, spaces and concrete skills that make it possible to remain healthy and capable of acting in the long term. This is an opportunity to create a space for activists and to deal with self-care, collective care and sustainable activism.

On the podium, Aischa Sane, Asma Aiad and Salomé Sarah Grünberger will discuss experiences, challenges and opportunities to think about care as part of political and social commitment. This event is part of the new VIDC event series Diaspora Talks.

This free event will take place in German on October 9, 2026 from 19:30 – 21:00.
